Want 17,000 Views On Your Listings?
Lately I’ve been talking a lot about real estate video and video marketing how beneficial it can be for your business.
The sceptical of you will be saying “yeah it’s just a cash grab, I don’t need it, I don’t want it, I’ve been doing just fine without it, I’m “old school”. I want to take a second to let you know that real estate video is real, the power of video marketing is real and the results of doing videos are very, very real. But don’t take my word for it.
The video below is an excerpt from the vlog of Ryan Serhant. If you’ve been living under a rock, Ryan is one of New York cities top performing agents and star of the hit Bravo series Million Dollar Listing NYC. In 2017 he and his team closed over $US800M worth of property sales. Here you see him team up with Casey Neistat, a youtube vlogger with over 11M subscribers. I think it’s safe to say that between these two they are both experts in their fields and know what they are talking about.
So there you have it. If it’s good enough for a multi million dollar agent, surely it’s good enough for you.
However, there’s more to it than just that. Yes it’s about trust. But it’s also about traffic. After-all you came here for the 17,000 views right?! Ok.
There is an older video from Tom Panos where he sat down with the then director of Industrie Media, one of the main media providers for real estate throughout Sydney and the Hills District. I’ll link the interview below so you can watch it in your own time as it’s quite lengthy.
The main topic of conversation is how by using video an agent can generate more business and that it all comes down to traffic.
If on average an agent lists 35 properties a year (that’s 2 a month) and the videos for those properties generate somewhere around 500 views (we’re assuming that the average time on market was 30-45 days), then by using simple maths that over a 12 month period those videos will cumulatively generate over 17,000 views from both buyers and sellers in their market.
Not only are those viewers seeing that property, they’re seeing you. Those potential vendors are seeing you and those views are generating a trust in you. Not lets assume you’re an office that has 10 salespeople and they have similar results. That’s some SERIOUS numbers we’re talking about.
To me, because of those reasons alone doing real estate video is a no brainer for brand building alone! Say goodbye to letterbox drops. Now every time someone googles the address of your new listing your video is going to be right at the top of those search results. Why? Because Google owns Youtube and they put videos higher up in their search results than regular web pages.
It couldn’t be easier!
